The workshop focuses on the Makanin-Razborov process for equations over free groups and more generally the solving of equations over arbitrary algebraic systems. The intention is to bring together a small group of people, including experts and students, interested in thoroughly understanding the Makanin-Razborov process and it's extensions to other algebraic systems.
The meeting will take place in the village of Alagna Valsesia, Northern Italy, from 14th-20th December 2008.
