Lausanne

Lausanne is a beautiful hillside city overlooking Lake Geneva. By arriving at the rail station, we took the metro from the hill down to Ouchy, which is on the lake south of the train station. The opposite direction of the metro is up to the hill. It is said that it has great view from the hill, but we were afraid that we didn't have enough time. So we went to the lake directly. Isn't the view also great from the lakeside for the hill?   Lausanne Hill
Start journey in the lake After having a rest, we started our first boat trip in Switzerland. The water is so green, and the wind breezed through our faces slightly. Although it was high season for tourist, but it was not crowd because the ferry is big. We prefered to stay at the deck almost all the trip.
There are many towns along the lake side and they have distinct personalities. This is one of the dock. I guessed that the big building is a church. Lots of swans played in the lake and people rested near the lake. It is a lively town.   Lake Lausanne Church
Lake Lausanne Boat We have seen different kinds of boats in the lake. But this one is the most beautiful we have seen. The sail is transparent and as thin as silks. One red dot on the sail made the finishing point.
The character of the lake Geneva is that is is surrounded by mountains, not only the mountains with green trees, but also the mountains covered by white snow. Along with the little boat, do you see the white mountains which is hidden in the fog? After the boat trip, we would take the most beautiful panorama train line---Golden Pass---in Switzerland and arrive at interlaken which has both lakes and mountains.   Mountains from the lake
