| Interlaken means between lakes, as the name says, it is between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Alough it is a small town, there are two train stations here, interlaken west (by Lake Thun) and interlaken ost (by Lake Brienz). We stayed in backpackers Villa for three nights. I should say that it is a great hostel. I am happy that I booked a double room online in advance because their rooms were book out the day after we arrived. It is a wooden house with green windows. The room was big and clean with a huge basin. Some rooms can watch the Jaugfrau peak. The kitchen was very clean and with enough facilities. What most impressed me is that one spainish guy even dried the wash basin after he finished the cooking. There were labels to mark the food whose food it is, if you have food left, you can mark it as "free food", not just throw away. I think every hostel has their tradition, this one has good tradition. Everybody here want to keep a good environment. |
