MAS3902: Bayesian Inference

Dr. Lee Fawcett

Newcastle University

End-of-semester exam

The January exam for MAS3902 will count for 85% of the course.

The exam will be in standard stage 3 style, with two sections: A and B. Section A will consist of more routine material from the course; questions in section B will be more testing. There will be no choice of questions: students must answer all questions on the paper. The paper will not be in write-on format - you will need to write your solutions in a separate answer book. Questions in both sections can include material from any part of the syllabus.

Exam preparation

You will find the learning outcomes for each chapter of lecture notes (in the Lectures section of the MAS3902 homepage) useful for revision purposes.

You should also find the following material helpful.

Practice questions

This questions towards the back of the lecture notes booklet are all exam-style, and can be found here.

Solutions to these questions, and the assignment questions, will be available via Blackboard.
