Problems classes

Questions set from the Group Exercises chapter of the lecture notes (page 111-116) will count for 5% of the course.

We will work through the unassessed questions from the Group Exercises chapter in the problems classes starting in teaching week 3.

You can work in small teams (up to six students per team) on the assessed exercises, and submit a single piece of work for your team. One person from each team should complete the webform to let us know the members of your team, before the submission of the first assignment.

Please make sure that each member of the team attaches a personalised NESS cover sheet to the front of the submission.

• Problems class 2: 2pm, Thursday 7th November 2019: Exam-style question
• Problems class 3: 2pm, Thursday 21st November 2019: Cancelled due to industrial action
• Problems class 4: 2pm, Thursday 5th December 2019: Replaced with lecture due to industrial action

Deadlines

The assessed questions should be submitted by:

• Assignment 1: 3pm, Friday 18th October 2019: Questions 1, 2 and 8
• Assignment 2: 3pm, Tuesday 7th January 2020: Questions 14, 20 and 21
