In the weeks when there are practical classes rather than drop-in sessions, students can, of course, ask questions during the practical sessions.
Students are expected to attend all Problems Classes and Practical Classes. Attendance at Drop-in Sessions is optional.
Assessment
The assessment for this part of the module is based on four elements as follows.
- Exam. Usual arrangement for 20 credit module.
This module only runs every second year. Here is the MAS3311 question paper from 2008.
- Test. Mid-semester test held during the lecture on Tuesday 20th April. Worth 2.5%.
- Project. Submit in three parts before 4pm on Tuesdays, as follows. Worth 15\% in total.
- Tuesday 16th March.
- Tuesday 27th April.
- Tuesday 4th May.

- The parts of the Project must be submitted to the General Office. In the case of Part 3 you will need to sign a sheet when you submit it. I will
give you the project by the end of Week 6.
