In the weeks when there are practical classes rather than drop-in sessions, students can, of course, ask questions during the practical sessions.
Students are expected to attend all Problems Classes and Practical Classes. Attendance at Drop-in Sessions is optional.

Assessment

The assessment for this part of the module is based on four elements as follows.

Exam. Usual arrangement for 20 credit module.
This module only runs every second year. Here is the MAS3311 question paper from 2008.
Test. Mid-semester test held during the lecture on Tuesday 20th April. Worth 2.5%.
Project. Submit in three parts before 4pm on Tuesdays, as follows. Worth 15\% in total.
1. Tuesday 16th March.
2. Tuesday 27th April.
3. Tuesday 4th May.

The parts of the Project must be submitted to the General Office. In the case of Part 3 you will need to sign a sheet when you submit it. I will give you the project by the end of Week 6.
