MAS2903: Introduction to Bayesian Methods

Dr. Lee Fawcett

Newcastle University

End-of-semester exam

The summer exam for MAS2903 will count for 85% of the course.

The exam will be in standard stage 2 style, with two sections: A and B. Section A will consist of more routine material from the course; questions in section B will be more testing. There will be no choice of questions: students must answer all questions on the paper. The paper will be in write-on format, with spaces for your solutions. Questions in both sections can include material from any part of the syllabus.

Exam preparation

You will find the learning outcomes for each chapter of lecture notes (in the Lectures section of the MAS2903 homepage) useful for revision purposes.

This crib sheet should help you decide exactly what is worth memorising for the exam, and what sections of the notes are non-examinable.

You should also find the following material helpful.

Revision booklet

This revision booklet provides extra practice questions for both sections A and B of the exam.

Solutions to questions in the revision booklet can be found here.
