North British Geometric Group Theory Seminar
The North British Geometric Group Theory Seminar
will meet
on Monday 13th July at the University of Newcastle.
The meeting will run from lunch until an early dinner. Speakers
will be Francesco Matucci (Barcelona), Claas Röver (Galway), Tara Brendle
(Glasgow).

12-00 onwards. Informal lunch in Courtyard Restaurant on campus
(Old Library Building, facing Merz Court, former home of the
School of Mathematics and Statistics).
The lectures will then take place in room TR2, on the fourth floor of the
Herschel Building (current home of the School of Mathematics and Statistics)..

15-30 to 16-00 Tea in Herschel Building Penthouse (7th floor).

16-00 Tara Brendle (Glasgow), The symmetric Torelli group.

18-00. Dinner in local restaurant, probably La Toscana, an Italian
restaurant we have used before, which is between the university and
the railway station.
