  • Eukaryotic genomic origins, parasites, and the essential nature of mitochondria - Dr Sarah Heaps, European Research Council funded PDRA (2012-15), with Dr Tom Nye and Prof Martin Embley (Institute for Cell and Molecular Bioscience).
  • Rooting major cellular radiations using statistical phylogenetics - Svetlana Cherlin, European Research Council funded PhD student (2012-15), jointly supervised with Prof Martin Embley (Institute for Cell and Molecular Bioscience) and Dr Tom Nye.
  • Bayesian inference for stochastic differential mixed-effects models - Gavin Whittaker, PhD student (2011-14), jointly supervised with Dr Andrew Golightly
