R/RStudio
Throughout semester 2 we will make extensive use of the statistical programming language R, via the RStudio software.
RStudio is available from all ISS cluster PCs. Also, you can download it free of charge to your own PC - instructions on how to do this can be found here.
You will attend a two hour practical session every Tuesday morning, 9am-11am, during the second half of semester 2. You will be given materials to work through in these practical sessions, and these will appear below after each lecture. Some of the questions will be for assessment purposes, and your solutions to these should be submitted by the dates shown below.
Deadline and submission arrangements
The assessed questions from the computer practicals should be submitted by:
- Practical 1: 3pm, Friday 13th March 2020
- Practical 2: 3pm, Friday 20th March 2020
- Practical 3: 3pm, Friday 27th March 2020
- Group Project: 3pm, Tuesday 12th May 2020
Some of your work will be submitted electronically (i.e. via Numbas or NESS); please follow the instructions in each worksheet carefully!
