Research

My research has mostly been in geophysical and astrophysical fluid dynamics and magnetohydrodynamics (MHD), but I've recently also become involved in the mathematical modelling of prehistoric population dynamics.

Teaching

I currently (2012-13) teach All course material for these modules will be posted to Blackboard (registered student access only) at the appropriate time.

I currently supervise two students for the MMath Stage 4 project (MAS8091): Rebecca Clawson and James Pullan.

I currently co-supervise one PhD Student: Kavita Gangal. Five students I've supervised (or co-supervised) have completed PhDs: Alhashmi Darah (2006), Kate Davison (2008), Apichat Neamvonk (2009), David Ryan (2010) and Fred Gent (2012).
