A google map has been created for this years Hackathon. It contains links to the accommodation, airport, train station and venue. The map will be continuously updated.
Newcastle is easily accessible from the rest of the UK and Europe
From the airport, attendees can either get a taxi to their accommodation, or get the Metro to Central train station.
There are fast rail connections to London (2 hours 45 minutes), Edinburgh (1 hour 20 minutes) and most other UK cities. Trains will arrive in Newcastle Train station. The train station is:
There is a busy coach station in Newcastle. Delegates should either get a taxi to their accommodation, or walk (~5 minutes).
The City Centre, the Central Train Station and the Airport are all connected by the Metro, Newcastle's light rail rapid transport system. The nearest stations to the University and the Accommodation are Haymarket and Central train station respectively.
