Road Approaches

From the South;
On the A1M after Washington Services fork left onto the A1 then
fork left for Gateshead South A167 which takes you to the Tyne Bridge.
Take the first exit right after the bridge which is for east and Tynemouth A1058.
Turn left at the traffic lights onto Osborne Road B1600.

From the North;
On the A1 take the exit for Gosforth and Gosforth Park A1056,
turn right at the first roundabout onto the B1318,
go through Gosforth and onto the High Street,
through the built up area and onto the Town Moor.
At the first (Bluehouse) roundabout,
turn left onto the A189.
At the 1st set of traffic lights turn right onto Osborne Road B1600.

From the West;
Stay on the A69 until it goes on as A186,
at the first mini roundabout turn left onto A191.
At the next roundabout turn right onto A167,
go straight on at the first mini roundabout then
right at the next onto A167 which is a carriageway,
take the first slip road off and
turn left onto A187.
At the next roundabout go straight on to A189 then
at the traffic lights turn right onto Osborne Road B1600.

Rail

From Newcastle Central Station, numbers 80 and 81 buses stop outside the Cairn Hotel.

Or, take the Metro from Central Station to West Jesmond Metro Station, leave the station onto the junction of Lyndhurst Avenue and Sunbury Avenue (exit to the east). Go straight down Sunbury Avenue and at the end turn right into St Georges Terrace, then left into Acorn Road and straight on to Osborne Road.

Alternatively, a taxi from Central Station takes approximately 15 minutes.

Air

Take the Metro from the Airport to West Jesmond.

Alternatively, take a taxi direct to the Hotel - approximately 25 minutes.

The Airport Bus will take you to Newcastle Central Station.
